Crushed limestone is generally used as a base for road, highway, path, and driveway construction. Crushed limestone is a ‘minus’ product, meaning it is not graded to a single sized stone, rather sized from the indicated sizes down to fines.
Aglime (Agricultural Limestone)
This is our smallest size Crushed Limestone, made from pulverised limestone. Aglime is used in specialised limestone rendering project and aglime is used to increase the pH of acidic soil and provides a source of calcium and magnesium for plants. It also improves water penetration and the uptake of major plant nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
19mm Crushed Limestone
19mm Crushed Limestone is typically used as a sub-base for trafficable areas such as driveways and footpaths. The crushed limestone is spread and compacted to provide a firm base for laying and screeding paving sand prior to installing brick pavers or concrete. Crushed limestone is a ‘minus’ product, meaning it is not graded to a single sized stone, rather sized from 19mm down to fines.
75mm Crushed Limestone
This larger size of Crushed Limestone is typically used as a sub-base for heavy trafficable areas. Also referred to as “Main Roads Spec”, this crushed limestone is compliant to WA Main Roads 501 Specification for roadway preparation.
